LOCAL  OUTREACHES

In addition to the missions that Cornerstone Fellowship supports around the nation and the world, we also support several local ministries which reach out to the Tucson community.

S.A.A.F. KIDS - Tucson, Arizona

We provide monthly birthday gifts to children in the Tucson area who are HIV+/AIDS or live with a family member who is HIV+/AIDS.

GOOD SAMARITAN FUND

This fund has been around almost as long as Cornerstone Fellowship. Good Sam provides financial assistance to those in need, both from our congregation and the rest of our community and has been used to help literally hundreds of people over the years.

T.I.H.A.N.

Cornerstone Fellowship has financially supported this local outreach for approximately two years. This organization consists primarily of Interfaith churches that assist in the non-medical care of HIV+/AIDS patients and or family members. Cornerstone Fellowship has also supported by attendance many TIHAN fund-raising events.

VIEW FROM THE ROCK

For over 12 years consecutively, Cornerstone Fellowship has written a Christian article for The Observer (local, weekly GLBT community newsletter). These articles take a typical thought and support that thought with scripture. These articles are sometimes humorous, sometimes sad, sometimes difficult to hear, but always written with the goal that the name of Jesus Christ is presented and lifted up.

WINGSPAN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT

When you think of domestic violence, you first think of husbands beating their wives. That may be true, however domestic violence is unfortunately alive and well in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community as well. Same sex domestic violence is on the rise and Cornerstone Fellowship has and is presently supporting the work of this project, financially and also by allowing the Board of this project to hold its meetings in the Social Hall of Cornerstone Fellowship. Emergency personal care item packages for victims of domestic violence are also provided by Cornerstone Fellowship.
